Fenaseg
The National Federation of Companies of Private Insurance and Capitalization – FENASEG, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, is a union association of upper level, for the purposes of study, coordination, protection and legal representation of the economic categories of private insurance and capitalization.

Currently, FENASEG congregates the eight regional unions of private insurances, established in the States of Bahia, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo; it has 130 affiliated companies, 116 operating in insurance, and from these 37 also operating with open pension complementation, and 14 operate with capitalization.

Companies associated to FENASEG represent 98.6% of the volume of revenues of the insurances market, open pension complementation and capitalization.

FENASEG’s main objectives are:

• Divulge and defend the private insurance, capitalization and open pension complementation entities. Represent, before the Public Bodies, the interests of the economic categories of its affiliated companies. Collaborate with the Government in the study, preparation of laws, and solutions that are related with the respective economic categories.
• Promote the conciliation in the collective labor agreements, and execute contracts and agreements.
• Appoint the representatives of the economic categories of its affiliated companies to take part in events that are connected to their activities.
• Keep consulting and advisory services to its affiliated companies, and develop technical research and the preparation of proposals related to the market’s interests, notably regarding the de-regulation of the sector and flexibility of monopolies.
• Keep the harmony of operation among its affiliated companies, mitigating their differences.
